Shirley Washington – Catahoula

Mrs. Washington is serving on the Board after having been appointed by the Catahoula Parish Police Jury. She worked in the textile industry for 13 years prior to her 26 year career in Education, where she was a teacher and worked in the School Board office. Mrs. Washington has a Bachelor’s in Mathematics from Southern University and a Masters + 30 in Special Education from Northeast University (the University of Louisiana at Monroe). Her area of expertise includes developmental disabilities.
