Dr. Linda Nichols – Vernon

Dr. Nichols is serving on the Board after having been appointed by the Vernon Parish Police Jury. She is an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Northwestern State University and serves as Nursing Coordinator for the Leesville/Ft. Polk campus. She recently retired from active bedside nursing with 30 years as a critical care registered nurse. Dr. Nichols is a certified Critical Care Registered Nurse as well as a Certified Nurse Educator. She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Nursing from McNeese State University and her Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, with a concentration in Health Science Education from University of Louisiana at Monroe. Her area of expertise includes Public Health.
